Mark Lee Goldberg
Mark Lee Goldberg is a Los Angeles-based artist known for his vibrant and evocative paintings. His signature style, which he terms “Impressionistic Realism,” focuses on the interplay of light and shadow through warm and cool colors. This layering technique, often involving seven or eight layers of paint, creates a sense of depth and a captivating visual experience. He then adds another pass or two using different colors of the same value to create a color harmony. Compositionally, he often strives towards simultaneous realism and abstraction.
A Passion for Botanicals: While Goldberg explores a variety of subjects, including figurative and portrait work, his true passion lies in botanical paintings. His series, “PLANTS IN SUNLIGHT,” has garnered acclaim from both critics and collectors. These works capture the lush beauty of the natural world, with a focus on light filtering through leaves and petals.
A Career Highlighted by Success: Goldberg’s artistic journey has been marked by recognition and achievement. His work has been featured in numerous solo and group exhibitions across the United States, and resides in prestigious private and corporate collections.
